The Impact of Solar Energy Market Value on Direct Marketing Participation Evident

The market value of solar energy holds significance for those involved in the direct marketing promoted by the Renewable Energy Sources Act (EEG). The solar monthly market value mirrors the average earnings from solar power traded on the exchange for that particular month. If this market value is less than EEG’s remuneration, the network operator would cover the difference using EEG surcharge account. During these phases, plants commissioned from December 2016 onwards lose their entitlement to the market premium. There are plans underway to abolish the support for renewable energies at the first hour of negative electricity prices.
